I have just found out that Michael Tolkien's wife, Euphrosina was from Matthies and not Matthiessen family (Matthiessen seems to be the feminine for of this family). In the Citizen Book of Gdańsk (300,60/6) I have just found the FURRIERS from the Matthies family in Gdańsk: Daniel and Jacob Matthies, sons of Daniel who was also a father of Euphrosina.
