Tolckheimer!

Dear Friends, I have updated the Tolkien Family Tree for my Patrons (if you want to receive this document, join me on http://Patronite.pl/Galadhorn or http://PayPal.me/Galadhorn). And I have good news for you!

(1) Yesterday I found the first Tolkien ever (Tulkin zu Wogau from 1356). See here.

(2) American and British Tolkiens make DNA tests under my, and my colleagues', direction. Yesterday a member of the British branch of the family wrote about his decision to make the tests too. American Tolkiens have already send their DNA to the Family Tree DNA laboratories. We need at least 400 USD for the first test, so your help is much appreciated! Spreed the word! If we save some money, we can help with DNA tests of a German Tolkiehn branch to prove tjat they are relatives of J. R. R. Tolkien [see the note in the end of this post if you want to know why this DNA tests are important].

A fragment of the Tolkien Family Tree made for my Patrons

Drodzy Przyjaciele. Wysyłam moim Patronom zaktualizowane Drzewo Rodziny Tolkienów (jeżeli chcesz otrzymać taki i wiele innych dokumentów, dołącz do Patronów na  http://Patronite.pl/Galadhorn albo http://PayPal.me/Galadhorn). I mam dwie nowiny!

(1) Wczoraj odkryłem w zapomnianych dokumentach z władztwa krzyżackiego pierwszego Tolkiena, założyciela rodu (Tulkin zu Wogau z 1356). Patrz tutaj.

[A note in English]

Why such research? I can see several benefits:

1. We will finally get to know the patrilineal genetic history of the Tolkien family - we already know a lot (I led my genealogy to the 16th century) over the course of 200,000. years. This will be an additional source of knowledge for the #TolkienAncestry research. Today we know that Tolkien'soriginally male ancestors were Prussians from Natangia, heads (mayors) of the Prussian village of Globuhnen.

2. We will contribute to the development of knowledge about this particular genetic group.

3. It will be easier to find genetic relatives of the Tolkien family, also among archaeological DNA samples (we already suspect that the Professor's distant cousins were two Vikings: VK64 from Gotland and VK156 from Bodzia).

4. A Tolkien fan, by testing the Tolkien DNA, will be able to find out about the connection between him and Professor, about their tMRCA (the Most Recent Common Ancestor).

5. The idea of Y-DNA tests will be further promoted.Etc. etc. (maybe you have any additional ideas, what else will such research give us?)
