Kreuzburg and its Lutheran church where two Tolkiens from Gdańsk were baptized – Christian (1706–1789) and Michael (1708–1795), sons of the miller Christian Tolkien (1675–1746). Christian was a father of Daniel Gottlieb and Johann Benjamin and Michael was a father of the Gdańsk bookseller, Christian Tolkien. Older Christian and Michael were baptized in this interior, in this particular baptismal font (see below). The church is very beautiful. It was very beautiful... Now there is Russia there...
