Michael Tolkien was buried under the stone tomb No. 37 in St Katharinenkirche. This is the tomb of Daniel Jantzen's family which was probably bought by the Furrier Company in Gdańsk. It is described as
Grey stone (2 m high, 1,46 m wide). DANIEL JANTZEN VOR SICH UND SEINE ERBEN. In the centre a coat-of-arms: a lion looking right, etc. Below: ANNO 1730. No. 37
